Description

The building is a schoolroom located immediately north-east of the Baptist Chapel on Main Street in Barton in the Beans. It was constructed around 1841 and is made of red brick with a slate roof. The schoolroom is a single storey and features three tall small-pane windows with cast iron glazing bars and round arches on the front. To the right of these windows, there is a square-headed door. Each gable end of the building has a window similar to those on the front. The interior is very plain. This building is included for its group value with the nearby chapel.
