Description

No. 1 Station Road is a house and shop dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building is three storeys high and has five bays, with the left side containing blind openings. The entrance includes a six-panelled door set within a reeded architrave, topped by a canopy supported by curving consoles. The windows are 12-pane sashes with cambered brick heads and there are sill bands beneath them. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top, and there are gable end stacks. Additionally, the side elevation has three wide 16-pane sashes on each floor.
