Description

Nos. 4 and 6 Market Place are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick and feature plain tiled roofs, rising to three stories. No. 6 has two bays and a doorway on the right, which is topped with a round arched radial fanlight. It has 16-pane sash windows on each floor to the left, with blind window spaces above the doorway, and a gable end stack. No. 4 has a central six-panelled doorway set within an open pedimented architrave, flanked by symmetrical cylindrical shafts. The flanking 16-pane sash windows have flat arched heads. Both properties have brick sill bands.
