Description

The barns at Home Farm Cottage, dating from 1888, are a range of stables or barns constructed of brick with hipped roofs covered in Welsh slate. They form three sides of a courtyard, with the rear side acting as a blind wall to the street. This wall features pairs of blank arches with stone kneelers and keys, which continue into a boundary wall to the south. One of the arches displays the date and a monogram in terracotta. A small wooden cupola sits atop the roof, and there are terracotta vents in each arch. The inner faces of the three ranges include doorways and windows, all with round arched heads that create an arcading effect.
