Description

Park Cottage is a cottage that dates largely from the 16th or 17th century, with a slightly later facade. It features a brick fronting to a timber frame and has a thatched roof. The building is one and a half storeys high and consists of three units. The south elevation is made of brick and has an off-centre doorway, flanked by three-light casement windows with cambered brick heads. The right-hand bay is slightly recessed and constructed of 18th-century brickwork with blue headers on an ironstone plinth. There is an additional doorway in a low outshut to the left, with three two-light casements above. Curved principals are visible in the right-hand gable wall. At the rear, there is a brick outshut on the east side, followed by one brick bay that includes a doorway and a single casement window. To the right, there are three bays of timber framing, which may contain a blocked central doorway and a four-light wood mullioned window. The cottage features gable and axial stacks.
