Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage, dating to the core of the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and extensions in the 18th or 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and ironstone rubble, with a thatched roof. It has a 1½-storey, 3-unit plan. The left-hand bay has a 19th-century brick facade and a Welsh slate roof, featuring 3-light casement windows on each floor. The main part of the cottage is brick-faced and includes a 3-light casement window and a doorway within a gabled porch. Above, there is a 2-light casement within an eyebrow dormer. The right-hand bay is of coursed ironstone rubble and contains a single 2-light window. All windows are leaded casements. This building has group value.
