Description
Pear Tree Stores, formerly a cottage, is a cottage and shop dated 1703, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with a rubble stone plinth and features a Welsh slate roof, topped by a brick truncated central ridge stack. It has 2½ storeys, with two 2-light casement windows on the upper floors. The ground floor includes a 20th-century double shop front and a central door. There is a blocked door on the left end, with a 3-light window above it and a 2-light window in the attic. On the right end, there is another 2-light window in the attic. At the rear, there is a single-storey extension with a Swithland slate roof. A stone tablet inscribed 'D.C. 1703' is located on the front between the windows.
