Description
The Joiners Shop and Attached Cart Hovel, located in Calke Park, is a mid-19th century structure made of red brick and timber, topped with a plain tile roof. The cart hovel, situated to the north, is open on the west side and features ten bays supported by stop-chamfered timber columns. The joiners shop to the south is a single-storey building that sits over a basement. Its west elevation showcases four segment-headed glazing bar sash windows and a dentil eaves cornice. On the east side, there is a lateral brick stack and two similar sash windows. The south gable end is accessed by a flight of eight steps with stone treads laid on brick, leading to a large segment-headed doorway with double plank doors. This building is listed for its group value.
