Description
The deer fence east of the Grotto in Calke Park is a mid-19th century structure made of wrought iron. It features plain stick railings supported by scroll brackets on the eastern side. There is a pair of gates that have curved braces, and the gate piers are topped with ball finials. The fence consists of fifteen bays to the south and twenty-five bays to the north, with ramped ends and brick piers. This structure is listed for its group value only.
