Description
The Carthouse and Stable Range at Ty'n-y-Ddol is a long, single-storey rectangular building made of rubble with a slate roof and a sandstone ridge. It features a central wooden slatted louvre. On the left side, there are two large cart entrances with segmental arches, which have rough-dressed slate voussoirs set back from the archrings made of narrow stones. To the right of these entrances is the former stable section, which now has a framed entrance with a large five-pane modern window in a full-height modern opening. There is also a modern lateral boiler chimney made of rendered brick, located off-centre to the right. At the far right, there is another former cart bay, which has been reduced by half on the left side and features an exposed timber lintel. Additionally, there is a small gabled projection located off-centre to the right at the rear of the building.
The right-hand section of the building has three bays and includes king post trusses, with a cobbled floor in the cart bay.
