Description
The building is a farm structure located to the north of Grange Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It originally served as a coach house and stables but is now used as a garage and store. Constructed from red brick with rendered dressings, it features hipped plain tile roofs and a plain eaves band. The building is arranged in a U-shape, with parts being single storey and parts two storeys high.
The two-storey coach house on the west side has a wide segmental arch with double doors facing south and a smaller similar arch to the north. Above these arches, there are two 2-light windows, with the northern window lacking glazing. Attached at a right angle to the north side is a range of stables that includes three timber cross windows and a plank door situated between the eastern windows. Above the stables, there are six small circular openings set in square surrounds, positioned below the eaves.
The returned range to the east features two windows on either side of a central plank door, with a circular opening above. All windows and doors are topped with wedge lintels that have raised keystones. The street elevation is mostly blank, except for a row of circular openings below the eaves. This building is included in the listing for its group value.
