Description
Church Farmhouse is a late 18th and early 19th century farmhouse with some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, brick coped gables, brick gable stacks, and a dentilled eaves band. The building has a double range plan, standing three storeys high and extending over three bays. A 20th-century glazed door, with a plain overlight, occupies the centre of the front elevation, flanked to the south by a 20th-century two-light window, and to the north by a three-light window with small panes. Above, there are two similar windows to either side of a 20th-century casement; and above again, a central two-light window with small panes is flanked by similar three-light windows. All openings have cambered brick heads.
The interior features a stick baluster staircase with a wreathed handrail, as well as raised and fielded panelled doors. The doors to the back range are original to the 18th century.
