Description

Osleston Hall Cottage and its attached outbuilding date from the late 18th century, with some alterations and additions made in the 19th century. The buildings are constructed of red brick with brick dressings and feature a plain tile roof that has two brick ridge stacks, along with the remains of a gable brick stack to the west. There is also a dentilled eaves band. The structure consists of two storeys plus garrets, with two bays and an additional single bay outbuilding to the east.

The south elevation features a central plain doorcase with a timber surround, a raised and fielded panelled door, and a divided overlight. Flanking the door are three-light glazing bar casements set under segment heads. Above these, there are two similar windows. Just below the eaves, above the western windows, is a pair of louvred doors, likely added when the eaves were raised in the 19th century. To the west of these windows is a large area of blank wall.

The attached outbuilding on the east side of the house is slightly advanced and has a segment-headed doorcase located east of centre, along with a central blocked segment-headed opening above.
