Description
Lane End Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick with brick dressings and features a plain tile roof, gable brick stacks, and a dentilled eaves band. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. At the center, there is a mid-19th century brick porch that includes small single light windows on either side and an original early 19th century panelled door at the front, with glazed trefoils on each side of the roof. On either side of the porch, there are two 3-light glazing bar casement windows with cambered heads. Above the porch, there are two similar windows and a central 2-light glazing bar casement, all also under cambered heads. This cottage is included for its group value only.
