Description
The barn located to the north of Amber Farmhouse dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and features a hipped slate roof with stone ridges. The barn is two storeys high and has an L-shaped plan.
On the east elevation, there are two doorcases at the south end and a further blocked doorcase to the north. To the north, there are steps leading up to a first-floor door, and above this, there is a horizontal sliding sash window. The west elevation features semi-circular headed doors with breathers above them. The north range of the barn is completely derelict.
