Description
Amber House and an attached mill, dating from the early 19th century. The house is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and has a pyramidal slate roof. A central brick ridge stack rises from the roof. The two-storey, three-bay house features a central door with an early 20th-century glazed porch. Glazing bar sashes are positioned to either side of the door, with skewback lintels above, and three similar sashes above those. Further glazing bar sashes are also present on the sides. Attached to the east is a four-bay mill building with an asbestos sheet roof. The south elevation of the mill has four semi-circular windows with projecting keystones and sills below; above are four 3-light windows dating to the 20th century.
