Description

This is a bridge located south of White Hall Gates in Chapel-en-le-Frith, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from ashlar gritstone and features a segmental arch that is approximately 12 feet wide, with radiating voussoirs. The bridge has curved spandrels on either side and full height pilasters at both ends. Above the arch, there is a flat stringcourse, and the bridge is topped with a low parapet wall that is slightly arched, finished with rectangular section copings. The bridge is included for its group value.
