Description
Laneside Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1817. It is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble with flush quoins and features painted gritstone dressings. The roof is made of stone slate, and there are stone gable end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double front with two bays.
On the south elevation, there is a central doorcase with a quoined surround that holds a 19th-century glazed and panelled door, topped by a rectangular fanlight and a dripmould. Flanking the door are two 3-light flush mullion windows, which contain small paned fixed and casement windows. Above these, there are two similar windows with the same type of fenestration. A datestone inscribed with 'P B 1817' is located between the windows.
