Description

No 23 Rectory Lane is a cottage that likely dates back to the early 17th century. It has a timber frame that has been encased in 20th-century cement render. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with 20th-century cement tiles, featuring rendered ridge and gable stacks. The cottage is a single storey with attics and has an east elevation consisting of three bays. There is an off-centre doorway that is sheltered by a 20th-century lean-to porch, leading to a plank door. To the right of the doorway, there is a 2-light casement window, and two similar windows are located to the left. The interior is reported to have exposed beams.
