Description

No 1 Gun Lane is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame construction with a steeply pitched plain tile roof. There is a red brick square chimney stack located on the right side of the ridge, near the road end. The exterior is covered in plaster over 19th-century stucco. The cottage is a single storey with an attic, and it has a central 20th-century door. Above this door is a large gabled dormer that is either from the 17th or 18th century. The cottage also has two modern casement windows. The gable end is made of red brick and weatherboarding, and it includes a 19th-century flush panel door.
