Description

The granary at The Barns, now used as a storehouse, dates from the late 16th century. It features a timber frame with closely spaced heavy studs, and has red brick and plaster infill, which is partly painted. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, and includes ridge gablets. The base of the structure is made of late 19th century red brick. An original door opening is located at the center of the eastern elevation, and the roof construction remains intact.
