Description
Beacon House is a house dating from 1912, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in a Neo Georgian style. It is constructed of red brick with lighter red brick dressings, featuring a steeply hipped pantile roof and two central rectangular chimney stacks. The house has a square plan and is one storey high with attics. The road-facing elevation, five windows wide, has a central pedimented doorcase, flanked by two flush sash windows on each side; all the doors and windows have shallow panels. Three hipped casement dormers are present. A deep moulded wood eaves cornice runs along the top. The left elevation features a central shaped gable with an arched window, and dormers on either side.
