Description

No. 10 School Lane is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and has been rendered on the front and right side. It features a plain-tile roof and a rendered stack on the left end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a two-window range. There is a 20th-century porch on the far left with a lean-to roof. The ground and first floors have three-light casement windows with wooden lintels. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension added in the 20th century. Inside, the cottage has chamfered spine beams and old stud partitions.
