Description
No. 5 Bristle Hill is a house from the early 19th century, likely with older origins, that has been altered in the 20th century. The exterior is rendered with incised masonry patterns and features a plain-tile roof with a brick stack on the left side. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range.
The entrance is on the right and consists of a 19th-century panelled door with panelled reveals, an overlight, a thin plastered wood surround, and a straight hood above. To the left on the ground floor is a three-light 20th-century casement window, while the first floor has two-light 20th-century casements. The house has a rendered plinth, two stone steps leading to the door, and a single hipped roof dormer window. Inside, the property features spine beams.
