Description

The Methodist Chapel, dated 1826, is located on Brookside Road in Breadsall. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The north elevation consists of two bays and includes a central early 20th-century porch with a flat roof and panelled double doors. On either side of the porch are semi-circular headed windows, also with early 20th-century glazing bars and 'Art Nouveau' coloured glass. Above these windows is a plain stringcourse, which sits at the base of a stepped and ramped parapet topped with a gable. A date plaque on the chapel reads 'Wesleyan Methodist Chapel MDCCCXXVI'. The south elevation mirrors the north with two similar windows. The interior is plain and contains 20th-century fittings.
