Description
Ivy House is an 18th-century house that was refronted in the early 19th century, located on the north side of Derby Road in Borrowash, Ockbrook. The house is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features a slate roof with brick gable stacks, mostly concealed by low parapets with flat stone copings. It has two storeys and four bays, with the eastern bay slightly recessed.
The central entrance is a semi-circular headed doorcase that contains a raised and fielded panelled door beneath a traceried fanlight. Flanking the entrance are glazing bar sash windows set below rusticated wedge lintels with raised keyblocks. Above the entrance, there are three similar windows. The recessed eastern bay features a wide segmental brick arch with a stone keyblock and double plank doors below, with another glazing bar sash window above, also with a stone keyblock in a segmental brick head.
