Description
41 Derby Road is an 18th-century house that was refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered plinth and painted stone dressings. The slate roof features brick gable stacks and a central brick ridge stack, along with a simple timber cornice. The house has two storeys and two bays.
The central doorcase is topped with a hood supported by moulded brackets and features a panelled door with a traceried overlight. To the north side of the doorcase, there are large stone quoins from an earlier doorcase. On either side of the doorcase, there are plain sash windows beneath wedge lintels, which have slightly arched bottom edges next to a corniced keystone. Above, there are two similar sash windows below similar lintels, but these have straight lower edges.
