Description

This building is a lace workshop located at the rear of No 28A in Melbourne, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with a brick gable stack on the east side. The workshop is two storeys tall and has two bays, along with a single-storey addition to the south. The ground floor has two segment-headed doorcases, and above them are two large 2-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sashes. There are stone steps leading up to a first-floor plank door located on the east gable wall. The addition includes two segment-headed plank doors.
