Description
Nos 4 and 6 High Street are a pair of houses built in the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. They are constructed from red brick and feature painted stone dressings. The houses have a red plain tile roof, which includes a large banded central brick ridge stack and brick coped gables resting on plain kneelers, along with a dentilled eaves band.
Each house has two storeys and a single bay. No 4, located to the east, has a glazed panelled door on the east side and a plain sash window on the west side. Above these, there is a similar sash window, and all these openings are topped with plain stone lintels. Additionally, there is a dormer window with a hipped roof and a 2-light horizontal sliding sash. No 6 has a similar design, but the positions of the windows and door are reversed.
