Description

The Agent's House and The Loco are a pair of former railway houses dating to circa 1826. They are built of ashlar stone and comprise two storeys plus a basement situated below road level. Each house has two sash windows. Identical doorcases, one for each house, feature semi-circular heads and wheel fanlights. The building has plain eaves and a hipped slate roof. Wrought iron railings flank bridged entrance-ways and are positioned at the sides of the steps leading down to the lower floor. The houses are built into the steep embankment below the road.
