Description

The statue of James Haslam MP is located outside number 100 Saltergate. It is made of white stone and stands on a rough-hewn plinth. The statue features a miner's Davy lamp, a pick, and leaves. An inscription reads, "Erected by the Derbyshire Miners Association in memory of James Haslam MP. One of the founders of the association and its General Secretary from 1881 to 1913."
