Description

The garden wall at Number 28, along with its gatepiers and corner pier, dates from around 1840. It features a high wall made of coursed stone, topped with a stone coping, which encloses the garden along Sheffield Road and Abercrombie Road. The wall includes a large rounded stone corner post that has a plinth and a pyramidal cap. This structure is included for its group value in relation to the buildings at the entrance to Abercrombie Street.
