Description

The gatepiers, gates, and street boundary wall to the garden of Hurst House date from the 19th century. The high coursed stone wall runs along Abercrombie Street and is partly embanked. It features stone coping and ramps up near the house. A door in the wall has a massive stone surround with scrolled brackets supporting a cornice and blocking course. The stone piers have moulded bands below their caps, and there are iron gates topped with spear-shaped finials.
