Description
Pear Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is built of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. The Welsh slate roof features stone coped gables with moulded kneelers and a ball finial on the east gable. There are brick ridge and gable stacks. The building has two storeys and retains the remains of a 17th-century lobby entrance plan, with a blocked entrance located against the stack. The off-centre 19th-century entrance is accompanied by a 3-light casement window to the left, which is set under a plain stone lintel. There are two similar windows to the right and three similar windows above. Inside, the farmhouse has a partially blocked inglenook and a chimneypiece with a plain stone lintel and jambs. Additionally, there are cupboards featuring arched raised and fielded panels.
