Description
East Uppertown Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone with dressings and features a Welsh slate roof along with dressed stone chimneys. The building has two storeys and three bays, with tooled quoins. The central entrance consists of a partly-glazed six-panel door set in a chamfered surround with alternating jambs. The windows are replaced sashes in flush surrounds, also with alternating jambs. The roof is steeply pitched with slightly-swept eaves, moulded coped gables, and shaped kneelers, while the end stacks have top bands. There is a single-storey gabled wing and an added outshut under a pent roof at the rear. A lean-to shed on the right return is not of special interest.
