Description
The structure consists of a garden wall and gate piers that run south from The Rectory, likely built in the early 19th century. The wall is made of squared rubble and features ashlar piers, designed in a style reminiscent of the late 17th to early 18th century. The wall stands approximately 1.75 meters high and has a segmental coping, extending about 15 meters south from the eastern return of The Rectory. At the junction with the pier, the wall ramps up. There are a pair of tall, square-plan piers topped with corniced caps and acorn finials. A similar wall, 2.0 meters high, continues south for 3.0 meters to connect with the churchyard wall. This structure is included for its group value.
