Description

This late 18th-century gardeners' bothy, now disused, originally served as a pavilion and terminal feature within the gardens of the now-demolished Glapwell Hall. The building is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and red brick, with sandstone dressings. It has Welsh slate and pantiled roofs. The north elevation is symmetrical, with three bays. A central ogee-arched doorway is flanked by windows, each with a wedge brick lintel. The doorway has a six-panelled door. The first floor features a central blind panel with painted decoration and a moulded architrave, also beneath a wedge brick lintel. This is flanked by windows with wedge brick lintels. A moulded ashlar pediment sits above, enclosing a blind lunette window.
