Description

The cart hovel at Steetley Farm dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with a pantile roof. The side facing the farmyard features a central bay with stone cross walls and a pair of plank doors. Flanking this central bay are four bays of cart entrances, which are supported by timber columns with a square plan. This structure is included in the listing for its group value only.
