Description
This is a cartshed located on the west side of the farmyard at Green Lane Farm, dated 1825. It is constructed from deeply coursed, dressed sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof. The facade is symmetrical and single-storey, while the rear side is two storeys due to the slope of the land.
The front has two central cart entrances with quoin reveals, a central column, and voussoired basket arches with keyblocks. There are doorways on each side with bonded jambs and deep stone lintels, and the doors are boarded. The gable at the center is pedimented and includes moulded kneelers, an oval date plaque in the tympanum, and plain gable copings. Each end of the building has similar kneelers and coping.
At the rear, there is a part-blocked elliptical-arched cart entrance, with a door and window on each side, along with two other small doorways to the left. Above, there are five dressed slit vents.
