Description
Whitley Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been altered. It is constructed of rubble brought to course and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a farmbuilding range added to the rear, which is not of special interest. The farmhouse has quoins and a board door located in a 20th-century open timber porch to the left of the right-hand bay. There are two 3-light flat-faced mullion windows with plain stone surrounds on each floor, although the ground floor mullions have been removed. The farmhouse has end stacks, with the left stack being renewed in brick. On the right return, there is a small window with a plain stone surround, and above it, there is an added timber oriel featuring a small-pane window that is positioned at the angle with the added farmbuilding range.
