Description

The milepost at the entrance gates to Park Lodge is an early 19th-century structure made of cast iron. It features a short triangular sectioned head with a canted top, which is mounted on a plain column topped with a simple capital. Each side of the head has raised fillets along the edges and raised lettering. The west side is inscribed with 'NOTT 17, RIPLEY 3', while the east side reads 'CROMF 6, CRICH 1'.
