Description

No. 2 Blacksmiths Lane is a terraced cottage that possibly dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble made from sandstone and ironstone, topped with a stone tiled roof. The cottage has one and a half storeys and consists of a single cell, featuring a door on the left side. There is a casement window with a flat timber lintel. The left gable is coped and includes stepped stones and angle quoins. The roof is associated with No. 4, but the walls are of a separate build.
