Description

No. 5 Stamford Road is a long cottage, formerly two dwellings, likely built in the late 18th century. The structure is made of roughly coursed sandstone rubble and features a thatched roof. It has one and a half storeys and includes four dormer windows. On the ground floor, there are casement windows, a plank door to the left, and a four-panelled door set in a bracketed wood porch to the right of the center. At the right end of the facade, there is a 19th-century canted bay window. The cottage has coped gables, with gable stacks and one axial stack located to the left of the main doorway. The window between the doors has chamfering with a complex type of stop, while the door features a plain chamfer.
