Description

No. 4 Blacksmiths Lane is a terraced cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features angle quoins. The building has one and a half storeys and consists of two units. The entrance door is located on the left, and the ground floor windows are adorned with moulded stone architraves and hoodmoulds. The dormers include timbering and decorated bargeboards, which are from the 19th or 20th century. The cottage has a coped gable and gable end stacks at the rear.
