Description

No. 5 High Street is a cottage, probably dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a stone tiled roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has three dormers. It has a two-unit plan with a window on either side of the door, plus an additional smaller window to the left of the door. The windows are casements with flat timber lintels. The left end of the cottage has angle quoins, while the right side features a curved wall at the corner. There are gable stacks, and a small projecting bay is located at the rear.
