Description

No. 9 The Green is a cottage dated 1730, located on the west side of The Green in Exton. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a thatched roof. It has one and a half storeys, with the main facade displaying a door set within a timber porch, topped by a moulded stone lintel and a date stone with the initials I.P. To the right of the door is a two-light casement window with a flat timber lintel, and there is a projecting wing beyond. The facade also includes two dormers above. At the rear, there is a renewed opening that consists of a door flanked by two windows. The gable side wall showcases bands of contrasting masonry, and there is a moulded stone base at the brick stack.
