Description

No. 3 High Street is a cottage that possibly dates back to the 17th century, with an earlier core. It is constructed from coursed rubble and features angle quoins and a stone tiled roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of a single cell with a side entry. The street-facing elevation has a blocked doorway on the right, which has a smaller window inserted into it, and a widened casement window to the left with a chamfered timber lintel. There is evidence of significant heightening and refronting in the gable wall. At the rear, there is a wing with a coped gable, large stepped stones in the gable, and additional casement windows.
