Description

No. 9 on Top Street is a house, likely built in the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed square rubble and features angle quoins, coped gables, and a stone tiled roof. The building has a T-plan and stands 2½ storeys tall, positioned at the back of the street. The central gable projects and is topped with a stone chimney. The doorway, which may have been a former window opening, has a chamfered stone surround and is located in this gable. There are two casement windows present. The north facade includes additional casement windows with flat timber lintels and hipped dormer windows. The gable ends feature moulded stone stacks, and there is a buttress on the west side.
