Description

No. 10 on Top Street is a house dated 1684, although its facade was taken down and re-erected in 1975. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and features a stone tiled roof, angle quoins, and large stepped stones in the gable. It has one and a half storeys and includes three gabled dormers. The facade has a doorway on the left with the date of restoration above it, and two new casement windows, one on either side of a 17th-century canted bay window with ovolo moulded mullions. To the right, there is a further range that is set back, featuring a large stone stack dated 1684 with the initials C over RE at the junction. This rear range has two blocked windows with ovolo moulded mullions and hood moulds.
