Description

The Gables is a cottage, formerly a farmhouse, likely built in the early 18th century. It features coursed rubble stone and a stone tiled roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has three gabled dormers. Access is from the side. The front elevation includes a blocked window, a roofed and canted bay window, and a two-light casement with a chamfered timber lintel. At the rear, there is a 2½ storey wing that has one bay, is taller, and may be older, along with a brick stack located at the junction of the two sections.
